Design for People
In order to get to new solutions, you have to get to know different people, different scenarios, different places. - Emi Kolawole
The people you are designing for are the roadmap to inovative solutions, all that is needed to be done is to emphasise, understand them, and bring them along with you.
Darts for National and International Champions
Chris White is a 4 time United States of America dart champion. Up until now, Chris has been using a stock standard dart but is looking for that little something extra to improve his performance.
I sat down with Chris to understand more about his story.
Chris is a man of rhythm and flow. He gets into the groove when he plays and blocks out any distractions. It is important to Chris that his grip on the dart maintains constant with every throw. If his grip isn't quite right, or slips, his rhythm can be disrupted, sacrificing the game.
The Dart was designed with a shark persona - How would a dart look if it were a shark. The Great White Dart is the result.
Business System Workflow
There are many stakeholders within the structure of a business. Puma darts wanted to optimise their internal structure to reduce operating costs. We began with mapping out the system to identify all the touch points. The process identified opportunities for design implementation.
The process included empathetic approaches to understanding the needs of each individual at each stage of the system.
